Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at admin@firstcoastec.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

If your child is struggling academically despite extra help, showing significant differences in performance across subjects, having trouble focusing and completing tasks, experiencing memory issues, slow processing, or difficulty with problem-solving, a psychoeducational evaluation may be beneficial. Additionally, if your child displays noticeable behavioral changes, difficulty with peer relationships, or problems with emotional regulation, an evaluation could help identify underlying issues and guide appropriate interventions.

A psychoeducational evaluation typically involves several testing sessions spread out over a few days to ensure your child is comfortable and performing at their best. Once testing is completed, results will be analyzed into a detailed report that includes a comprehensive interpretation of your child’s strengths and areas of need. We will then schedule a feedback session to review the findings, discuss next steps, and develop a plan to address the identified concerns, whether it involves school-based interventions, therapy, or additional resources.

We do not accept insurance for services, as psychoeducational evaluations are typically not covered by insurance companies. At your request, we can provide you with a Superbill to present to your insurance company to seek reimbursement. Payment options can also be discussed during the initial consultation to find a plan that works best for your family.

We accept debit or credit card, CareCredit, Zelle, PayPal, and FSA/HSA accounts.

You can make an appointment by calling us at 904.889.0089 or emailing us at admin@firstcoastec.com. A 15% deposit is due during the initial consultation to reserve your appointment for evaluation.

We understand that life can get in the way of scheduled appointments. We ask that you provide us with at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Otherwise, you may be charged a cancellation fee.
